Life is Binary… it all comes down to “I wish” or “I must”
I want to share a reflection with you, is nothing more than that, a point of view in the small choices that shape our life.
What do I mean with “Life is Binary”? If you think about it, most of the elemental things in life come in pairs: Day/night, chaos/order, positive / negative. One can’t exist without the other, one creates the other. (Lao Tze)
Sometimes these pairs can coexist simultaneously in balance, like dusk/dawn, truth/lie, and so on, but in other cases is just one or another. That is the case with our choices. When I choose anything, be it a pair of choose, a life partner, a career to study… I renounce everything else, that is the real meaning of sacrifice.
This thought comes to my mind as today I was given again the opportunity to eat another dessert before I start to diet, to skip another day of writing in here, another time to skip the alarm. Is in those tiny moments that we have the opportunity to make ourselves proud in small scale, so when life throws a real dilemma at Us (and it will), we are prepared.
